Snug Castellation
Overview
Snug Castellation Mats are extremely versatile and are a popular choice for installers due to how fast they can be installed. The mats lay down and clip together, so they are even easier to manage single handedly. The castellation mats are interconnecting, pre spaced at 50mm, with each mat covering 1.12m² and can be used with any kind of screed.
What’s unique about the Snug Castellation Mat system?
With the Snug Castellation Mat system pipe can be designed and installed at 45° angles, not just 90° angles which helps provide increased flexibility, especially when installing in irregular shaped rooms.
For added peace of mind, we use high temperature rated PEX pipe, rated at 98°C at 10 bar, rather than PERT pipe which is only rated at 65°C.

Any type of screed can be used with the Snug Castellation Mat system, but depending on the type of screed selected, a varying depth of screed is required:
| Liquid Screed – 50mm minimum, 75mm optimum |
| Sand and Cement – 60mm minimum, 75mm optimum |
When height is an issue 30mm flexible levelling compound can be used instead of screed.
| 200CC is standard |
| 150CC for improved efficiency – Standard for heat pumps |
| 100CC is available upon request |
